I've pulled all the "other" set listings from the Hyperboards site, and over the next few days I'll format it and repost it here.
I'm pretty solid on the Mega product lines, but the other brands are less familiar to me. With that in mind, I'm counting on you other brand zealots to fill in the blanks, where you can.
My plan is to put the Cobi set listing in the Cobi group, but other brands will be listed here, each in their own thread (or maybe a separate sub-group for each).
Between our forum and the excellent Bricker databases maintained by forum member tkf, we have amassed information that exists nowhere else online. Certainly not in any consolidated format.
Two quick anecdotes to illustrate:
1. About eight years ago I called the current incarnation of Tyco on the very slim chance that they might have access to old data about the Superblocks line. I spoke with three different people, and none of them knew anything about the brand. One of them even doubted that it was Tyco.
2. About five years ago I was hoping to get my hands on an "official" list of colors used by Mega Bloks, so I called customer service. They were very helpful, but the woman with whom I spoke confirmed that they don't maintain a list like that. "But there's a website that we consult," she added. "It's called The Bloks Forum."
So there you have it. We officially know more about some brands than the brands' owners! And we were actually an information resource for Mega! I find that humbling.
This archive has always been (and will remain) a group effort, and IMO we can be proud of the information that we maintain.
