Gorgeous work!
And I can't be the only one who was afraid to click on that subject line...

Always one of my favorites of yours. It looks completely factory, accurate and just frickin' cool.

Case in point from the comment about painting styles. I would have loved to add more depth and highlights to the vegetation, but then he'd look completely out of place next to the rest of the Marvel figures 😕

Absolutely. When I started with minifigs I stayed as far away from painting them like miniatures to match the factory "toy" aesthetic. Now everything I do is damn near tabletop standard.

Yeah - consider me inspired. Going to have to drop some money on better paints. Found my old airbrush recently, so might play with that, too. I was loving Bigfatchef's work before he got disillusioned with MB and moved on.

Chef is strictly GW miniatures at the moment, check his FB page if you haven't already; great stuff. I'm getting away from the Model Master Acryls due to their inconsistency with colors. Citadel is cool, especially their washes, but I'm really digging the Vallejo paints. I also stopped thinning with water and use various acrylic mediums to thin, man what a world of difference!

I was actually researching what to thin them with in the airbrush. What are you using?

My main go-to is Vallejo Airbrush Thinner #71.161, good shit. Thins beautifully without separating. An absolute must if using any metallics. Liquitex is another highly recommended line, but I have yet to use it.
