My wife and I decided that for Christmas we were going to get new kitchen countertops as a gift for both of us. You can't really wrap that and put it under the tree, so I did this instead:
It's us installing the new countertops in our kitchen. Combination of the Make-it blocks from the dollar store, and elements from an old Mega Bloks® My Life As™ Cupcake Bakery set. The figures are Lego from a cement mixer set. The countertops are an actual laminate sample from Lowe's that I cut to size. It is the actual layout of our kitchen (simplified).
It was fun and she was surprised!
