5502 Scanner Recon
Command Ops (2003)
33 pieces, official count (as shown on product packaging, etc.)
38 pieces, inventoried (includes instruction booklet)
The year listed for the set may reflect the copyright date of the instruction booklet rather then the year that the set was released.
All information offered here is subject to change and should be considered a good faith ''best guess.''
Hyperlinks leading to the excellent Bricker database are used with permission.
Mega has changed its part-numbering practices numerous times over the years, not always in a consistent fashion.
Certain decorated parts in this set (and its contemporaries) are listed with the part number of the basic, unmodified element, sometimes with or without a color designator. Other times, an existing color is used, but with the decorated element a modified color code is given. Other times no color is given at all.
An effort is made here to standardize the inventory to match modern naming conventions. In some case, new part numbers are coined to distinguish modified from unmodified elements.
This listing was compiled manually from hardcopy instructions, so typos and omissions are a distinct possibility. If this causes any confusion, or if you have any questions about inconsistent naming protocols, please post these in the Requests & Info section.
Thanks!
