The Solid Tin Coyote Local library had it Lego contest in person this year, so felt compelled to do an entry. Ever since Lego released the Looney Tunes minifigs, I knew what I had to build. However, my one big mistake in this creation is that many of the younger crowd have not seen the classic Looney Tunes cartoons. So a lot of kids had no idea what I was building. Most of the adults knew immediately. So without further ado - The Solid Tin Coyote: 1) test pics of initial build: 2) Once the initial build was done - then came building the scene. This was a bit more of a challenge due to balancing issues. The initial Coyote was way too overbuilt and very heavy. I had to redesign the interior with less standard bricks and more thin structural supports. I still had to have some external supports as well: 3) closeups of the title and original scene from the cartoon: 4) To keep with the original cartoon, I did build removable fangs: 5) Closeup of RoadRunner & Wylie Coyote: 6) Closeups of structural supports while on display: 7) The most nerve-wracking part of all this was transporting this from home to the contest. The display was stable as built, but did not take kindly to movement - so I added additional supports for moving that could be easily removed. For actual transport I also removed the ears and put them back once at the venue: 8) In the end it was worth it! I ended up taking 2nd place! For those who are not familiar with the Solid Tin Coyote: Here it is!

I love everything about this, especially the general mingling of brands, the scenery, and the Roadrunner's dust plume.
Great work as always!
