I was browsing this evening and checked out their "history" page HERE. Honestly I'd like it to be a little more detailed, but at least it provides dates and some other cool info. But...
Check out their pic for 1991's launch of their micro-scale bricks:
Unless there was some behind-the-scenes brand mingling, that is manifestly not a Mega set. I happen to own two copies of it, one of them obtained on eBay decades ago from forum member gonzilla. The brand, as you can see in the pic, is Blok-Tek and they also released a B-2 bomber set. Neither set shows any Mega branding on the packaging, the instructions, or the bricks themselves.
This is the first I've ever heard the possibility of a brand link, and I'm inclined to contact Mega to check on it (or else to let them know that "their" history includes someone else's history!)
