Is anyone on the Forum a collector of K'nex Titanfall sets? I just wonder is they are worth collecting from a Mech collector's perspective. What's the groups thoughts? From a Mech collector's perspective they look pretty good but from a brick collectors perspective they are made out of K'nex. I know there is a MOC company in China making brick rip off versions of the Mechs but they are not cheap.

iirc, the complaint on them when they came out was the lack of sturdiness and inability to stay in a pose. I got a couple of the mini-figures and really didn't care for them, too blocky and little articulation.

I don't have any of the Titanfall stuff, but I think a few sets are still available cheapish at Ollie's.
My problem with K'NEX is that it started as a toy for building roller coasters and carousels, and everything since then strikes me vaguely as a repurposed roller coaster or carousel!

TitanFall is an IP that should have gone to Mega. My thought is they would have made some good use of the Mechs in the series. My problem with the k'nex is while the armor looks cool on the mechs the under lying and visible K'nex parts look like crap (ie. knee joints). The Hedgemon I know what your saying they K'nex does seem to be repurposed from it's original design just to keep it viable.

I agree with you about the look of K'NEX parts. I've never been a big fan of the open-frame style that K'NEX favors, and that goes for a broad range of Lego's Technic stuff, too.

Well I guess my decision is made, I will not be investing in TitanFall K'nex sets. Thanks for your input and helping me make up my mind.
Now if they loose the TitanFall license and Mega gets ahold of it I will be investing.
