from their Twitter and probably other places "We’re shaking things up! Later this year, you’ll start to see our new logo appear on our products. Under the unified banner of MEGA™, we’ll continue to bring you the same top-quality building sets inspired by fan-favorite properties. Stay tuned for more exciting news." So this should be fun to see how they handle this.

I wonder, are we "unifying", or just shortening to something easier to use, with two syllables and 4 letters- like say....Lego?

They should just rip the bandaid off and go back to "Mega Bloks."

At the risk of sounding like a curmudgeon, I disliked the change to "Mega Construx" from the first time I heard of it. Phonetically, it was a clunky choice, with stressed-unstressed-unstressed-stressed, so right away it puts the brand name at a disadvantage. It also threw away decades of brand familiarity (perhaps in a dubious effort to distance itself from the brand's perceived past weaknesses), and it directly name-drops a defunct and unrelated brand.
THEY SHOULD HAVE CONSULTED ME!!!!!

I think it's nuts how Mattel tried to change the name of Mega Bloks years after the Halo line had turned the brand's reputation around. If Mega had to rebrand, the time would have been before the Halo sets launched.
