I've spent the last eight days in my basement, isolating with a case of covid.
I'm fully vaxed and boosted, by the way, but my job also puts me in contact with dozens of people each week, and--given the numbers I've read online about the region--most of those people aren't fully vaxed. And it appears that one or more of them breathed on me one too many times.
All and all it hasn't been terrible for me. Mostly just congestion and a general sense of fatigue, the latter of which persists even now. I'm discernably on the upswing, however, and should be close to full power in the next few days.
Not a fun ride in any case. I personally know several people who've died from it and am acquainted with a dozen or so beyond that. It's no joke.
I'm not here to preach, and I like the Forum to remain decidedly apolitical, but please be careful, and take care of yourselves and those you care about.
