If you've got some time to kill, you might amuse yourself by toying with Google's patent search. The search is a little wonky, I suspect in part because the underlying data isn't housed in a format as efficient as what we're used to with typical internet searches, but with a little patience you can glean some cool info. A lot of the early Mega stuff is specifically for the larger scale bricks, but you can't find a few tidbits here and there. You have to pick your search terms carefully, though. I've uncovered a few points of interest this way, but I'll hold off and wait to see what anyone else comes up with. Enjoy, and share what you find!

HERE, for instance, is a fairly recent brick with an integrated lever system for raising one pin when the other is depressed. Kind of cool to see how they describe it in the write-up, as well as the mechanical drawing of it.

LOL. Yeah, there's that. I found a bunch about various magnet technologies that for some reason referenced Mega. If you search for "Ritvik" you get some old stuff.
