Hello,
I saw in the part numbers of the mega construx "game of thrones" sets, that some parts are double codes, e.g.
MA76521 AM76521
what is both for a bar (3l). Any suggestion why mega construx does it this way? Is am / ma an abbreviation?

I've asked them this question several times over the past few decades, and the answer has changed. At one point, it seemed that the prefix letters described the place of manufacture, but this no longer appears to be the case (if ever it really was).
My most request inquiry was about a year ago, when the agent who answered the phone told me that the letters basically designate a molding batch run, but I gather that even this is an unofficial explanation.
In short, it does not seem that there's any consistent guiding policy about the letter prefix of part names, with two possible exceptions: parts that are modified or that are assembled from multiple components generally (but not always) have a name beginning with AS; parts that are made of particularly flexible plastic or cloth generally (but not always) have a name beginning with AX.

thanks for the answer, so for my own part database (excel) I suggest, that if the number code is the same the part is the same.
