First off, a big and unequivocal THANK YOU to those who've posted parts breakdowns for various Mega sets. I have quite a backlog to work through, but your contributions are very much appreciated and are a big boost to the overall ongoing project.
One request, though:
When you post a list with "modified" elements, specifically those whose numbers begin with AS, it would be most helpful if you could provide some description of the part, which is often too small to see clearly in the inventory image. So if part # AS-FORUM-01 is a particular Halo weapon with silver detailing, please identify the weapon. Likewise a decorated tile, or a banner with a specific emblem. Don't worry about the format or brevity of the description that you post, because it can be three paragraphs if you like. I'll whittle it down for inclusion in the list within the character limit. You also don't need to keep track of which parts are new to the overall catalog; I'll deal with that during the formatting process.
It would also be a real boon if you could make a guess at the color of the AS elements; Mega tends to use a limited palette for a given product line, or for related sets within that line. So if a decorated 2x2 tile is the same color as a AM09033AGY, then please identify the AS part with that color (to the best of your ability).
The main reason for this is somewhat selfish, I admit; ultimately, the least arduous part of the process is the compiling of the part numbers. The drudgery comes in the naming, especially when a set has dozens of AS elements with cryptic or poorly visible symbols on them. Pokemon sets are particularly notorious about this, but just about every theme does it.
Again, I am grateful for everyone's effort, but I'll be much slower about picking through the inventory postings if I have to describe 30 parts that I've never seen in real life.
It's all a work in progress and entirely subject to revision, but the project as a whole will benefit from greater specificity when possible.
Thanks so much, and keep on posting!
