Just thought I would share for those that it matters to. The beyonders app is discontinued, I was told officially this today. I wanted to make some of the instructions that were ONLY on that app and kept getting a server error. Most of those additional instructions will not be getting ported over either, so they are forever gone it seems

Jeez, that sucks. I wonder why they killed it?
Doubtless the answer would be something along the lines of "insufficient customer response" or whatever, but how much did it really cost to maintain?
Regardless, unless the plan is to replace it with something better, this seems like a misstep and a neglected opportunity for customer engagement.

I directly asked about it and they told me there was no way to get them. I saw cactus instructions somewhere, reddit maybe, other than that I have nothing. I should have rooted my tablet sooner I guess.

In hindsight this move makes complete sense and is perfectly natural for Mega. As far as I can tell the beyonders app was made for the Inventions line, which has been pretty much phased out. They did include instructions for other sets but only a rebuild (mostly halo), which they have migrated to the website. The app did require a server so they probably decided it was time to pull the plug and use those resources for something else. The irony is that the Inventions was more, if not the only series that was oriented towards MOC style. Since Inventions are phased out no need to migrate the other builds for that line, which I think is shitty since there was some nice instructions on there.

It looks like Mattel isn't making very good business decisions regarding the Mega Construx line. From shrinking retail shelf space at Wal-Mart to very poor distribution, It seems that Mattel is trying to intentionally drive customers away. I'm sure that the Lego Group has a small part in the shrinking retail space (only a small part, mind you).
I honestly thought that distribution would get so much better since Mattel is a much larger company than Mega Brands was themselves and use that influence to regain shelf space. I'm almost to the point that I want to sell what I have and stop collecting since it's so hard to find new sets anywhere. I really hate giving my money to Amazon since it won't go back into my community not to mention that Amazon's pricing algorithms are insane.
And now killing off the Beyonders application....
I gotta wonder whats going to be next?

More Halo?
That and Pokemon seems to be where the most push is.

I think that there needs to be a project gutenberg for Mega Instructions considering that only 85% ever makes it to PDF or digital anyways.

They are still selling the inventions sets in stores and completely misleading people to believe that they can get all the instructions on the app that doesn't exist anymore. I called Mattel and they were useless, it took me 15 minutes to convince them that the instructions were not the ones they have in PDF online as there are many other items to build in the set. I even offered to pay for them and they still refused. Anyway, very frustrating, does anyone know by chance where to find the lost instructions for these sets? Here’s the cactus, that’s the only one i found: imgur.com/a/mYY0xpVI think that one was created before the app went down. Thanks!

Getting people that understand things that you ask them can be hit or miss I have found. At times for example it's like you will have to explain WHY 1 + 1 = 2 you have to be VERY precise and even then they may not give you the full answer you wanted. I would say that since they are just customer reps some people on here know more than they do.
