After skipping the local Lego contest for a few years, had some time and decided to make an entry. A while back I had bought a few bulk lots of Mega Bloks for auction sites, and ended up with tons of the gray stone bricks from the PotC/Pyrates/etc.. sets. One of the categories for contest is architecture, so thought I'd try an arched stone bridge. Here are the results: Started with the AC wagon, but it looked too big. Rebuilt it to be a bit smaller. Added my own cargo, and a dog to sit by the driver. Got to have a troll under the bridge! And tossed in some rats underground - the kids at the contest spotted those! Didn't get the architecture award, but I ended up winning an honorable mention! Overall happy with how it turned out. What I learned: 1) Need lots of brown basic bricks if I want to make 'solid' underground for underneath the terrain plates. 2) 300 of the blue 'water' pieces don't go as far as I thought they would. I think closer to 1,000 would have covered the river better. I'll make a couple of other posts - one with pictures from the contest, and the other, my wife's entry into the contest!

Nice! I attempted an arch like that once, but shorter. Didn't work out, but glad to see the concept is sound.
