Here's my Cobi rendition of the Sd.Kfz. 140 "Panzerkampfwagen 38(t)" (Originally a Czechoslovakian tank design). I made my first custom stickers for this one (laser printout on transparent adhesive film) The mudguards are mounted in an angle (higher at the front, lower at the back) to be in line with the tracks And the tricky build at the back. Maybe a pic with a partly disassembled view will follow ... These pictures can also be found in my flickr album for this MOC or the COBI Small Army WWII Brick Sets

Some detail pictures of my Cobi MOC "Panzerkampfwagen 38(t)" Here you can see how the slanted mudguards are mounted. For a more rigid construction I would have preferred an 1x2 plate with a double length pin instead of the 1x1 plate with a single lenght pin, but unfortunately such a part does not exist (yet). Heavy use of the "single stud on demand" part to mount the exhaust Here's how I attached the the angled tiles ... and again ... the "single stud on demand" came in quite handy ... ... sometimes just to achieve the right distance to an adjacent part (in this case the 1x1 plate with pin) A 1x2 bracked is used to attach the hatch to the cupola You can put a minifig in there, but just the upper body without legs, mounted on the 1x2 "jumper plate" The turret has an uneven width of studs, so is has to be mounted on the turntable with the help of two 2x2 "jumper plates" (see also the first 3 detail pics) As usual, the above pictures can also be found in my flickr album for this MOC

Neat. The 38t is one of my top 5 favorite tanks and something I'd wished that Cobi would have put out by now. Yours looks pretty much like what I'd want it to be. That looks mighty fine! Did a wonderfull job on the back of the hull, really like it. This is a great model you did there, truly. I like those fenders on the side, running slightly slanted. Great choice in wheels also. And offcourse that fantastic cupola is great! This 38t model works best in this size you did. Unfortunately it will be too wide for my models, because then it had to be much smaller. I adjusted all my models in a smaller width, otherwise i would have copied yours! Liked those tight hatches on your Tiger P too! Nicely done Keep al those fine mocs coming!!! Fantastic ...and referring to the pzkfw 38t; nice tutorial. Figured out those mudguards a little bit, but couldn't quiet figure out that back hull. Very proffesionally build, great solution. It has a real tight fit. Took you a lot of building and rebuilding i reccon! Very nice how it worked out. Didn't even notice the uneven stud turret. You did a great job there also. That's why a nice explenation is always great to see! You always miss the small details. The whole appereance of the tank has got a real slick look all over it. I like it dude!
