I turned a Cobi 2477 "Tiger 131" into a "Sturmtiger" As "must have" features I wanted an openable loading hatch for the ammunition and a loading crane to go with it. My design goal was also to get "pointy" ends for the side panels, unlike the ones of the 2473 "Jagdpanther" set. This was only possibly using a combination of wing tiles and slope bricks. As usual, gaps between panels should be kept to a minimum. I put a round black sticker into the gun barrel, to "disguise" it from it's original wheel purpose. However, The holes on the "wheel" around the mouth of the gun barrel are perfect, they represent the ventilation shafts, used on the real thing to channel the hot rocket exhaust. Building details: The loading hatch for the ammunition consists of 2 handles on a 2x6 tile, and a 2x2 tile mounted upside down onto it using my favorite little universal part, the "single stud on demand" (seen also in the building details of my other MOCs). Here you can see how I achieved the "pointy" ends of the side panels by combining wing tiles and slope bricks: The pictures (in a higher resolution) can also be found in my flickr album for this MOC

O yes, very nice indeed! Great build, it looks awesome. Like your pointy ends, greatly done. Also great frontal mudguard ends left and right, just like the real thing. Totally like your canon made from a wheel! You hit it there. Superb crane and opening. Well, i can go on for a while, but you'll get the picture; i like it! Smiley . Nice you kept that cobi tiger look in the lower hull part. Your upper build is somewhat a cobi deluxe pro build version with 1000+ parts! If they sold this beauty, i bought it instantly! On further study , like your frontal plate a lot. That little opening is neatly done! Like your building techniques. You must have a lot of spare parts. A lot of them i don't have or didn't knew cobi made them. That single stud on demand i don't have but could use those plenty! What set number is it from? Hope cobi is going online soon with there loose parts shop!
