Hehe. That must've been frustrating to build.

Not at all. I cut my MB teeth on the Battle Action Castle, so I'm not easily frustrated - though I'm pretty that's what AFOLs are given to build in hell.

Those castle parts weren't the best quality. I remember building my Bridge, that drove me crazy. The pre-fabricated stone stair elements wouldn't align themselves, so it was hard to build the walls, and then walls would keep falling apart because their clutch power wasn't very good. Those were the days.

Silly old orc - you have to take steps to increase the clutch power where necessary. That used to be one of the most common MB topics.

MB may have always had issues with clutch but the bloks they created can be repurposed for all sorts of things. Just last year I and my friends adapted some old Dragons stone bloks to create some unique structures for 25 mm tabletop gaming, and then once the scenario moved into the dungeon, as "walls." Worked out nicely: merlinthemad.blogspot.com/2016/06/

I did that for the WoW Zepplin, which had a couple miss-moulded plates that I had to modify. I just can't be bothered with the bridge hehe... Luckily, this doesn't happen so often anymore. It was all part of the fun. I'm getting so nostalgic about Dragons and King Arthur... MB may have always had issues with clutch but the bloks they created can be repurposed for all sorts of things. The Vorgan have to protect the stronghold and the Draigar have to protect the castle. Eliminate the enemy.

Oh, I suppose so, but I grew up painting 20-30 mm miniatures and I have a lot more of those than I do Draigar and Vorgan. With the impressive holdings of other players we can field a pretty impressive array: And that's just a small number of the total figures we could actually field. The Imperial Dwarf army I painted numbers 50 figures. Plus ol' Doug's terrain makes for some pretty stellar towns and such:

Wow that town is so impressive. Great work on that!

Good to see a thread developing a life of its own again. I missed that.

Good to see a thread developing a life of its own again. I missed that. "Howls of derisive laughter, Bruce." I was simply showcasing the versatility of Mega's fabulous building bloks. The tangent just sort of snuck up on me...
