My job sends me all over western PA, east Ohio, and much of West Virginia. Last week I was working in Bellaire Ohio, when I turned down a small street and stumbled upon this: You can check out their website at brickmuseum.comSadly, I was too early; they open for the season two days after I stopped by. However, I called the listed phone # and talked to the owner/curator briefly to confirm when they open, their hours, etc. I hoped to stop back soon. The lo and behold another job brought me to the neighboring town just three miles away, so I swung back to Bellaire for my 30-minute lunch and did a (sprinting) tour of the site. It's been there about 12 years, in a converted school building, with display areas on three floors, plus a gift shop and areas with displays still under construction. The brochure advertises "over 10,000,000 bricks," and I absolutely believe it! I mean, I have a fairly hefty inventory for a private collector, but my whole stockpile would barely add up to one or two of their smaller displays. I snapped about 80 pics that I'll post here in the coming days, but here are a few samples in the meantime.
