I'm running out of shelf space for my Cobi aircraft. How have you coped with this problem? Please post pictures of your solutions--I need ideas!

So, about a year and a half ago I went and got some of that corrugated plastic, some shelf brackets, and a bunch of screws and threw up these inexpensive homemade shelves to hold the fighters. Some of the larger aircraft are suspended from the ceiling above. As you can see, after 18 months some of the plastic shelves are bowing a bit, so I may have to find a new material to use for the shelves. The larger bombers are just suspended from the ceiling with fishing line and mug hooks. I just finished building the B-17 a couple of weekends ago and have yet to figure out what to do with it, so it’s just hanging out on the countertop for now. Once the Memphis Belle is released I’ll really have to figure out what to do with it.

What an impressive collection! In my particular situation, I am running out of space for shelves, but I do have some wall space that I can use. Has anyone tried mounting planes directly to the wall? I can easily imagine hanging a plane vertically--maybe with wooden pegs?--and in principle I can imagine some sort of projecting horizontal mount, though I don't know what form that might take in practice. In any case, I'm all ears (or eyes, as the case may be).

Here are a pair of twin-engine models hanging from wooden pegs in a corner of my office. The pegs are very sturdy and the models are easy to take down and put back up again. Visually, I think this works better for the Heinkel than the Lightning. (I've got a couple of Mitchells coming, so I might replace the Lightning with one of those.)
