A couple of months ago I got the dreaded "you've reached your limit" notification, so I broke down and bought their cheapest membership so that I can continue to use the site for blok-related images, like inventories, etc.
Photobucket's interface is about the worst I've seen online since before Geocities evaporated. It's slow, buggy, counter-intuitive, and if you hit "back" on any page, it'll take you all the way back to your start page, with a 50/50 chance that it'll log you out in the process.
Beyond that, the links that I generate for inventory listings (and for the Parts Library) tend to work at the time of posting--verified before posting--only to fail later, with no change to the link in the meantime.
WTF is up with that? I'm paying for a minimum of service, and they can't even provide that level of functionality? My twelve year old can design a better site.
I've tried Flickr, and I find it not much better. I long for the days when majhost was still alive, but those days are gone.
Thanks for nothing, Photobucket.

Yeesh. I rarely post photos aside from on the MCX gallery, but I check out Photobucket and immediately left. The site just didn't look safe for me to be on, let alone share my photos to.
Have you tried Imgur?

Thanks for the reminder. I tried Imgur when Photobucket first started screwing its users a couple of years ago, but I forgot all about it.
One problem is that I don't think that it does (or, at least, it didn't at the time) generate link code in a predictable fashion, so that I couldn't automate links with a database. That means I'd have to manually upload close to 1400 part images and record each URL separately. Quite a daunting task!
Still, for smaller-scale posting needs, it might be work another look!
