Nice work! And I like the fact that some brown candy bar wrap came in handy for this MOC Yeah, it looked ok with the candy bar wrap but it became a bit shabby after a while ( it started to show an unsmooth surface after a while), so maybe a clone quality issue? ;-) So lucky for me i found the right redbrown tape from the same brand as the green tape and redid the whole thing ;-( And while i was at it, i also made the landing gear in the outward position, which i think gives much more diisplay quality; Funny thing is that when i placed the landing gear at the right spot the tail became to heavy..... So i used double adhesive tape and used 2 heavy iron bolts at the inside of the nose :-) Here is an official blueprint that shows the correct placement of landing gear; Here a view of a plastic model kit;

And come to think of it i believe i never explained how to get the frontal nose landing gear in a slanted position.... Here is a pic of how simple you can achieve it; And for those who are interested the wing and turbines building structure; Hope you like it! :-)

Very nice! You should have quite a lot German WW2 jet engine MOCs by now ... how many Me 262 sets did you actually buy for them in total?

Very nice! You should have quite a lot German WW2 jet engine MOCs by now ... how many Me 262 sets did you actually buy for them in total? well, actually i have only 5 German jets; And believe it or not, i only bought 3 Me 262's..... I started out buying 3 to make the Ho229, and hoped to have enough parts left to make 1 Me262 The most needed parts for the Ho229 were the redbrown parts, and in particular the slanted tiles used for the wings It turned out i really needed 3 Me 262 sets for the Ho229 for those redbrown tiles but i also needed that Russian tank which had a lot of redbrown parts also Those redbrown tankparts were critic too because i used almost every last onr. of them on all my planes After making the red 13 me 262 easily out of the leftovers from 3 sets, i found out i could make the Ta183 also,and even make another Me 262 ( the Schall one) And even the Me 163 i had lying around in parts, i didn't have to buy anything for it Same goes for the HGIII, a lot of mix and match of redbrown tiles from above mentioned i still didn't had to buy a Me 262 extra! But this only goes for the redbrown parts (and a bit less for the light grey parts, which i didn't use on the Ho229) I got to mention that i used a shitload of green parts, especially tiles, from my own personal stach and other much needed parts i had lying around ...but i am planning to make a He162 volksjager ( to make the 3 existing operational jets complete) which is actually a bit of a longer me163 in shape, so i'lll have to buy a 4th me262 for that one ....and i sacrified the red 13 Me262 for the HG, which i am thinking now that that one is missing ....and i'm not really satisfied of the appearance of the Me262 Nowotny wing camo scheme ( i used all slanted redbrown tiles tfor the other planes) , what you see now on the picture were the leftovers of normal redbrown tiles

And believe it or not, i only bought 3 Me 262's..... Thanks for the informative explanation, quite interresting. By looking at the picture of your (very impressive) collection, I would have never thought that the only "crucial" part requiring the purchase of another ME 262 would be just the nose. But if you count the other Me 262 parts (jet engine housing, canopy, ...), you're absolutely right. But I imagine your stash of spare parts from other models you scrapped is quite substantial by now (And that's where you took all the other parts for your German jet MOCs from, that are not in the ME 262 set)
