This thread is all about the polish manufacturer COBI and their "Small Army" product line: Tanks, planes & other military vehicles from WWII & modern era
This continues a thread from the old Bloks Forum on Hyperboards, and hopefully all participants from there will eventually make it here, and even more people will join this thread (the more, the merrier)

Detailed sawn off Jeep parts for Horch moc; The part on the last pic on the utmost left wasn't needed to be cut out the 2x4 plate anymore because i rotated that part 180 degrees on my 2.0 moc I needed that space for the hood, but on my new version i just cutted more off from the hood there are a lot of rough edges to been seen on the pics but because it isn't to be seen on the end result i just left it that way Btw, great work from The Hegemon! We have a forum again and it looks great!

Detailed sawn off Jeep parts for Horch moc; Awww...you beat me to it! I was going to suggest that we have a dedicated thread for the MOCs. That way it's a little easier to keep up with the news and releases and the custom creations over two large threads instead of one super-huge thread. We could always start in 2018 if that's easier.

That does sound like a good idea! I was a bit waiting for you to have the honors to make one for being the starter of it all since day one... If you make a seperate thread i'll post there my moc news Indeed splitting cobi news and cobi mocs will reduce a single thread's lenght

I'm all in for a better concept for 2018 ... In fact I was hoping Deinonychus would get us our own COBI subforum, like the "LEGO General Discussion" subforum under "All Brands!" But then again one "COBI General Discussion" thread per year is probably sufficient, and a COBI subforum would only make sense for the COBI MOCs, a new thread for each MOC ... Well ... we have one month left of 2017 to come up with an ingenious concept for 2018, folks ...

I wonder if the 1x2 arch bricks of this little set could be useful to integrate the spare wheel further into the vehicle's bodywork?

As soon as that new catalog hits (or the date rolls over to January 1) we'll start our separate 2018 and MOC threads. Might as well just keep things as they are for now to "ease the transition"

Yeah, the schwimmwagen has a lot of those 1x2 arches too, but i didn't have enough in my spare box to use them although it crossed my mind too, I was already working on a better version. I used the same front and backdoors, so you won't see that hole next to the spare wheel

Cobi has announced a new Panzer II! Hmm ... interresting color scheme (kind of the "rusty" look). Apart from the obviously smaller tracks (which is of course a big improvement), design-wise it's not really such a big difference to the previous version. Well, now that the small tracks are available, it was only a matter of time that all the smaller tanks will be re-released as a revamped version. Panzer I will probably be next, along with the long awaited Panzer 38 (t). And hopefully we will get an update of Panzer III and VI too, with the tracks downsized from large to medium (2-wide). The new gears used on the TKS and the revamped Panzer II should also work with the 2-wide tracks, if you put 2 gears on a longer pin, right?
