Had some time to build Cobi sets. I had the older Cobi Sherman, set 2464 (with the sandbags on the side). I liked that set when I built it, but the 2464A is a huge improvement. 2464A is shorter & narrower. Pros: I think it captures the shape of the Sherman better I like the shorter wheel bogies Cons: instead of a pair of gears for the treads, there is only 1 up front. The treads can slip off easily (see pic below). M3 Lee, set 2385, another fun build. I have always liked the Lee. I built the Lee before the Sherman, and I am now hoping for a 2385A set. I'd like to see the improvements from the Sherman set applied to the Lee. For comparison, I have a 1/32 plastic model kit of a Lee that I included. You can see the Cobi Lee is 'too' big. One thing that has bothered me about all of the Cobi tanks, is that the lower parts are in black bricks. It looks like they are changing that. the M12 GMC appears to be all in green bricks. I'm hoping that Cobi wil re-release many of the old kits with updated builds. Last pics are of my brick U.S. WWII items.
