Part of a strip mall-ish setting in Canton OH. From the scale of the signage out front, specifically the large permanent sign on above the entrance, I expected a polished, professional operation.
Not so.
They had about ten large, paired "troughs" strewn with miscellaneous crap with no discernable organization, except that one trough as mostly (but not exclusively) books.
The rest were a chaotic mishmash of clothes, housewares, toys, shoes, books, and assorted accessories, and good luck finding anything on purpose!
When I stopped in, there were a dozen or so people picking through the chaos, seeking god-knows-what, and each had a bizarrely fierce territorial vibe about them, as though challenging anyone to contest their dominance of their particular section of trough.
The only blok-based item I found was a Hello Kitty minifig, though they did have a boxed "Laser Pegs" set (one of the current/recent light-up brick brands), and a K'NEX box of some sort that I couldn't see too well because one guy was kind of hunched over it and fending off challengers.
It was a weird scene.
Leaving the site, I realized that the best visual analogy I could think of is the scene in The Empire Strikes Back when Chewie is retrieving the dismembered 3PO from the garbage conveyor. Fewer ugnaughts today, but otherwise very similar.
Don't think I'll be returning any time soon.

Goodwills seems to be very odd. I see people post about the wonderful brick deals that they have found. On the other hand, I have never ever seen anything good brick related.
Unlike your Goodwill, the one by me is in its own building, fairly large, clean, and well organized.

In 20+ years of frequent (but admittedly inconsistent) looking, I have found about three worthwhile blok deals at Goodwill.
Hope springs eternal, but jeez!

Persistence is key (went out this morning despite icy roads) and it helps to live in a larger town with a number of different thrifts. Also helps if your Goodwills do not participate in shopgoodwill.com, posting their best stuff online. And sometime your timing has to be right, like this morning when I saw this Lego truck roll out of the back room on a cart, obviously priced by someone who believes the value of a toy truck can only be so high...
