Where did you get the hats from? The guy on the horse has a hat from a 3 3/4" Indiana Jones and the other one was from cheap Chap Mei figure knock-off. Both required some work with a dremel tool. I'm experimenting now with the hats from the little Kre-O Cityville Invasion guys.

Updated- got a hat that works better, though not perfect. It is from one of those Block Tech figures that go with Park Ranger sets. Took a fair amount of dremel work. The revolver, though a bit large, bears a decent resemblance tho the Colts used by Josey Wales. They are from some of the Kre-o Cityville figures.

If you run across any swoppet style cowboys on eBay, their hats should be perfect. Then again, if you're already dremeling, any 1/32 cowboy hat could work. Just cut, grind down the excess, and dremel out the hole as needed.
