Hey all:
I'm tallying up the inventory for the FDY77, and I'm drawing a blank on two key portions because I'm not all that military savvy:
1. What are the firearms included with this set?
2. How would you describe the figures (rank; in-game name, if any; theater; etc.)?
3. The vehicle-mounted weapon appears to be a Browning 50-cal. Correct?
4. Does this kind of wheel/tire have any particular designation?
Thanks for any help and insight you can offer!
Dave!

I read this thread and immediately accepted it as a challenge. A couple of hours in research and watching videos of the CoD WWII game level "S.O.E." brought me to these conclusions: 1. Revolver - could be almost anything, maybe Colt M1917, but I'm going to say Enfield No.2 based off of my opinion who the officer may be Rifle - I'm using the awesome grainy detail of PDF instructions, but it, again, could be almost any but the black painted section forward of the trigger makes me believe Johnson M1941 with built in 10rd revolver magazine. I lean towards this because most rifles of this era were top fed 5rd clips, making it difficult to mount a scope unless it was magazine fed. 2. The game mission SOE eventually puts you in a Jeep, but opening scene displays "August 20, 1944. Near Argenten, France" Soldier - most likely is the player's mission character Ronald "Red" Daniels, PFC. Officer - because of the mission, you are sent to assist British SOE officer, Major Arthur Crowley. So I choose him, though he is never shown wearing the coat or hat. But the paint on coat shoulders and hat looks similar placement of British officers. 3. Mounted LMG - .50 cal would not be typical of being on small vehicles, probably due to noise consideration. .30 cal is more suitable. The part in this set resembles the belt fed Browning M1919 (caliber .30-06) but in game, when you switch from driver to gunner, it's the single drum magazine MG42 (7.62mm, also a .30 caliber round) 4.most likely, wheels were produced by Kelsey-Hayes. Prior to the wars, they had independently owned wheel companies that played a huge role in both Ford and GM. Only makes sense that the Willys Jeep MB would source them. Links below (3rd to last paragraph under HISTORY) en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Willys_MBwww.encyclopedia.com/history/encyclopedias-almanacs-transcripts-and-maps/kelsey-hayesI enjoyed this, even if not meant to be a challenge. Hope my opinionated information at least entertains your speculation.

Excellent answers--thank you. I should be able to post the inventory tonight.
As always, the responsibility for any and all inventory errors is mine, so even if you turn out to be way of the mark, it'll be on me!
Thanks again!

I hope others chime in on this. I would like to hear other opinions or facts. I wish I had this set so I could see and feel the detail better. Also, now I feel the need to go play this game.
No worries about any errors that may be posted. I am even okay with a statement of opinionated credit on my behalf.
You are welcome!
