Yes aushen, you are right! Thanks for the research. I will adapt the title. In your source there is in addition to the logo another aircraft. The PT-17 I see that everyone agrees that only the P-47 and the Arado are really interesting! And probably only because Cobi's model does not exist. Attachments:

I can understand that a true ww2 brick collector wants to have everything ever made ww2-ish made out of bricks
On the other hand you got to ask yourself if you really want everything claiming to be a ww2 model that actually doesn't even remotely look like it
I' ll picture someone buying this and as soon as Cobi is coming out with a new p47 or Arado this model dissapeares directly to the attic in a box you'll someday will open in about 10 years.....(and thinking to yourself when you open that box; "how could i ever have bought this?!?"shamelessly)
I know i'm very spoiled with a brand like Cobi but seriously this stuff looks like crap to me
Another option is to make that Thunderbolt yourself out of some Cobi sets....
Shouldn't be to hard, because a P47 really has that fat look Cobi always overdoes in most sets ( maybe a mix of the P51D and P38L will do the job in a nice steel brick look)
But you'll better wait because Cobi will definitly make one, my guess is this year for sure
But that's just my thoughts guys...... ;-)

Everything you just said is true, but if the model itself is still decent then there's no reason to banish it just because Cobi comes out with something better. I still have my Best Lock Churchill, Tiger, T-34, and Sherman on display despite having nearly 100 better looking tanks. And even though the Oxford Corsair isn't all that great next to the Cobi version, and also the fact that the Cobi Lightning makes the Oxford version look like a garbage fire doesn't make them terrible models.
If you're hurting for space or only want to display the best example of each vehicle though, I totally get it.
But again, if these things are cheap enough and not that hard to acquire they might be good pick-ups just for the fun of it.

I came to Cobi a few years ago when I saw the first version of the Panther on the internet and thought, "Wow, it would have been nice to have something like that as a kid!" So I bought this first tank for my son. My son was only half as enthusiastic as myself and so after a while I started to buy the Cobi vehicles for myself! Then I bought the tiger, Mathilda and T-34! Tanks were not enough so I also bought the Lego Modulars, so to speak as a background! Since there was not that much cobi availlable at the time, I also bought Best-Lock and other military vehicles. Sometimes these were really disappointing, in addition to the modest appearance of the vehicles, the rubber tracks were always broken quite quickly. Over the years, I've always thought that cobi will produce the series maybe 2-3 years and then switch to another topic. That's why I always bought several of the most interesting models at the beginning. But things have changed and one shelf after another fills up with all imaginable WW2 vehicles. In the meantime, I know that Cobi is continuing to improve the models and make new sets, so now I only buy one from each model. During this time, I have always looked around, what others bring to the market. Especially the Chinese are in a madness for a few years, in terms of ww2 building blocks. I bought a lot of minifigures that got better and better every year. Now more and more larger sets of vehicles are appearing. If these, like the minifigures, also get better every year; I'm looking forward to the future! It is with great pleasure that I follow this progress in the models. Just to show what I mean, here is a Cobi model from a couple of years ago:

But again, if these things are cheap enough and not that hard to acquire they might be good pick-ups just for the fun of it. Currently there are only 2 shops on AliExpress selling these planes so far: The 23045 "AR196" as a " special offer" (only 2 days left!!!) for 32 EUR instead of 49 EUR (without original box, 64 EUR with box), and the 23046 "P-47" as a " special offer" for 34,50 EUR instead of 53 EUR (without original box, 68 EUR with box). For the "normal" price of a boxed set you would get at least 3 Cobi planes, so that seems to be an insane and unrealistic price. Hopefully these prices will drop once more vendors carry these planes on AliExpress. We keep calm and sit this out, right guys?

Yes, the pricing policy of this first seller is strange! It goes from 14,66 € (bf109) up to 34,59 € (P-47). But he lowers the price almost every day.

I compared these planes with Brickmania kits. The design was taken almost 1: 1. However, for the glasscockpits they did not use the right parts. Here for comparison the P-51: Brickmania:

A funny idea would be for several members to buy a specific one of these aircraft and try to improve it.
Rules for this could be that a maximum of 10 additional parts may be installed, which are not part of the set. The forum members then vote on which model has succeeded best.
Would someone join in here?

In my opinion, the only decent one is the arado 196, however maybe they changed parts on purpose to evade some kind of report for steal projects.

I think a few of these can look a lot better just by swapping the cockpit piece out, the P-51 for example, you can see they did a lazy workaround by lowering the part behind the seat (but they couldn't bother the fill in the gap of the cockpit) and I feel like a lot of these pictures are taken at really weird angles, the nose of both mustangs are 8 bricks long but it looks super long in the "jie star version"

I ordered the Arado and the Bf 109! The Bf 109 just for fun to see if I can improve it or use it as a background wreck!
