This is not a post to change anyone's minds, thoughts, or opinions on COVID, but please protect yourselves. I just got a case on Friday from my new job of three months and while I'm vaccinated I still feel like crap. I don't wish this one anyone here or anywhere. I made the mistake of not protecting myself around others due to my personal complacently. So during my down time I will post more reviews as I build some more sets.

Please keep us posted on how you're doing and feeling. I was lucky that I wasn't hit too hard when I caught it in January, but there are lots of variable at play and my case could easily have gone in a different direction.
Is your job accommodating you in this? Get lots of rest and fluids and take care of yourself!

Thank you, I just feel like crap. I haven't lost my sense of smell or taste yet at least so the chicken soup still tastes good. I have off till Tuesday for the holiday weekend so as of yet I haven't even been able to let them know since no one is in HR this weekend. Trust me I'm just sitting here either sleeping, building sets or playing 7 Days 2 Die. Just hoping my roommate doesn't get it.

Hope you feel better soon. Any kind of sickness is zero fun. And yeah, everyone should just be aware of their surroundings and keep themselves clean. And stay home if you don’t feel well. As a highly-functional germophobe a lot of what they’ve been suggesting people do to stay healthy is stuff I’ve always done. Which now has the added side benefit of making me look wise instead of crazy.

You should add a college slate to your avatar's head. Sometimes being super paranoid and OCD about things can make one super smart when they are proven correct. My new job is Quality Assurance at Hershey and requires my fat ass to climb sets of stairs around 16 times a day and walk around 15,000 steps too and doing all that climbing in a mask was wearing on my breathing so I got lazy and stopped wearing one, guess I'm going back to wearing it now. So for me I should add a dunce cap to my avatar since it was my own stupidity for not protecting myself.

Hey thanks for asking, my fever broke sunday which is good but I still feel like crap with coughing and congestion. So I talked to work and I'm taking off a few days to recover more. Weirdest thing is everyone I knew who got it lost the sences of smell and taste, but I didn't and instead everything smells rancid to me.

Glad that your temp is down. I'm vaxed so our experiences will probably differ, but my congestion lingered for a while after recovery. Even a few weeks later I could sort of feel it in there, but after that I was all clear.
I didn't have any change to taste/smell, but most of the people I've talked to who had that component got back to normal eventually, though it took a little longer.
Keep getting better!

I'm vaxed too but didn't get my boosters, that will change as soon as this is over. I used to get Bronchitis every year growing up so this might be hitting me a little hard. But I'll survive.

Got my 2nd booster today(4th stick overall), because, well, I'm OLD. Walked in to the local Walmart pharmacy, filled out a questionnaire, got stuck, got the rest of my groceries and presto-change-o, I was done!

Yeah, I'm double-vaxed myself for, um, the same reason. Also, my job brings me into lots of people's homes each week, so I want whatever shielding I can muster.
Plus I don't want to accidentally infect anyone if I should happen to be exposed.

I think humanity has made a new friend that will stick around for a long long time. I'm pretty sure I know how I got it. A girl at work on third shift was off for about 2 days and a weekend, when she returned I was talking to her and asked her what the symptoms she had were and they matched mine I'v had this week. I think she felt better never got tested and returned back to work a bit to early. I'm worried about spreading it to anyone.

My wife had to go out of state for a conference. She had to fly since her employer wouldn't let her drive.
She ended up getting the virus and bringing it home even though she was vaccinated and had all the recommended boosters.
Both my 10 year old (who was also vaccinated) and my 3 year old got it also. It wasn't fun at all.

Yeah it's definitely not fun for anyone, I hope your wife and kids are doing well after having it. I'm over it but my roommate of course got it from me and while he has no symptoms of it after 7 days of being sick he is still having positive tests for two weeks now. He's one of the rare unlucky ones who hold on to the virus for an extended period of time.
I currently have a bit of the "covid lung" as a last vestige, if I do too much physical activity to fast I can't catch a full breath, which sucks.
