The Japanese I-GO and the German Panzer II Luchs are available at Aliexpress now! Iβve built the I-GO and itβs a pretty solid little vehicle. Extra points for it being pretty much the first Japanese WWII tank set that anyone has done. I like it when these KO and imitation brands start off copying LEGO or Cobi sets and then branch out into their own original designs. Quan Guan has really proven themselves with the I-GO, Luchs, BT-7, and the VK 1602. So much so that I bought their Tiger 2 because Cobi never made an all tan version.

Hey, I like that too! Also all the other japanese vehicles from QuanGuan e.g. Artillery traktor, this wonderful japanese jeep and armored cars and also the Nissan Truck. The Nissan Truck and armored cars are only a little bit to small to use them together with cobi sets. I think there is no Tiger2 in tan from cobi, because it came out after african campaign. These guys try to be historical correct.

I've got their Tiger I, Sherman, BT-7,VK leopard, and Mauder III. I think some are drawing a long bow to call these kits Cobi clones or imitations, the Chinese manufacture has changed enough of the model (the larger Quanguan tanks have engines where as I understand the Cobi do not) for a court to decide its a different product, a court would also have to acknowledge any model designer is limited in choice as both manufacturers are restricted to the standard LEGO stud/hole dimensions and common parts they contain. And the Quanguan model comes in completely different distinct packaging so it would be difficult to prove a consumer would be confused between the two products. Just because Cobi take a commercial decision to make a model of an historical prototype, does not guarantee enduring ownership of model of that prototype and prevent new entrants trying to bring out a model of the same tank with better features.
